Main street Edgartown was littered with candy and lined with smiling faces Saturday morning when the Christmas parade went on as planned despite some drizzle and fog. A crowd of children, parents, grandparents and dogs lined the sidewalks to cheer on a long procession of homespun floats. The holiday mood was evident all over the Island Saturday as people shopped for gifts, trees and crafts at fairs and bazaars.
