The 162nd Agricutural Fair at the West Tisbury fairgrounds had all the staples visitors have come to expect: rides and food, blue ribbons for everything from livestock to vegetables, and competitions ranging from skillet tossing to axe throwing. The hall was filled with prize-winning quilts and bonsai trees, photographs and cupcakes. Some stood in line to ride the Ferris wheel while others made tough decisions: strawberry rhubarb pie, pumpkin funnel cake, or a root beer float for dessert?
