Last Friday the State Department released its final environmental impact review of the proposed northern segment of the Keystone XL Tar Sands Oil pipeline. The immediate reaction from the press was that the environmental community would be disappointed as the review said the project “is unlikely to significantly affect the rate of extraction in oil sands areas.”

Maybe the long winter is causing short tempers, but it seems like the mere mention of Stop & Shop these days is met by a spew of fury.

At some point pharmacies will be universally banned from selling tobacco products as they already are in some parts of the country. But as health professionals we shouldn’t wait until we’re forced to do the right thing, the thing we’re sworn to do.
