The Dukes County commission is asking you to vote yes on Question 3, which would change our county treasurer position from elected to appointed.
The Gazette front page story about Edu Comp closing its retail store (Oct. 2), describes a previous use of the stately brick building that marks the entry to downtown Vineyard Haven.
Voting no on Question 3 will keep the county treasurer position elected and will continue the checks and balances in the county’s finances.
Since my son Adam’s death, our family has received, and appreciated, lots of good wishes and condolences.
