The two-year pandemic has hampered learning for the Island’s youngest school children, according to West Tisbury student data recently presented to the up-Island school committee.

The Chilmark School will not be getting its decrepit heating and cooling system replaced this summer. School district finance director Mark Friedman said the sole bid came in over budget.
