The holiday concert season on Martha’s Vineyard begins Dec. 1 at the Chilmark Community Church with the first of three weekly offerings.

If the Martha’s Vineyard music scene can be said to have a supergroup, it’s the Edbury All-Stars, who play most Thursday nights at the Ritz in Oak Bluffs.

Sabrina Luening has spent most of her life singing for the Island. On Saturday, the Island sang for her in a community benefit.

A benefit concert will be held at the Cardboard Box in Oak Bluffs on Saturday, Nov. 4. for Sabrina Luening, who is in a Boston hospital after suffering a stroke.

In just two years, Ladyfest has gone from Oak Bluffs debutante to belle of the ball. The female-centered live music festival began as a showcase that overflowed the bar in 2017 and took over Circuit avenue in 2018.
