Beach Road Weekend touched down in Veterans Park on Friday. The festival continues through Sunday.
Two icons of Martha’s Vineyard music were reunited at the Edgartown library Tuesday night: pianist David Crohan and the century-old Mason & Hamlin grand piano he donated to the library three years ago.
Mary Chapin Carpenter will travel to the Vineyard this week to take part in Beach Road Weekend, the three-day music festival that settles into Veterans Park in Vineyard Haven August 25 to 27. In all, over 20 acts will perform throughout the weekend.
With pastels, perfect pitch and a 30-song repertoire, Vineyard Sound will ends its summer season with its annual Farewell to Summer Show at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown at 7 p.m. on August 19.
The town’s police and fire departments have completed safety plans for the festival, an expert has been called in to evaluate the conditions of the park fields and a protocol to deal with the festival’s sound is being put into place.
Jakob Dylan and the Wallflowers are at the Performing Arts Center on Saturday, July 29 as part of the Martha's Vineyard Concert Series.
