Hello, Blue Eyes
The Vineyard Haven library has announced a Paul Newman Film Festival, with screenings on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. from Nov. 24 to Dec. 29. The festival, sponsored by Newman’s Own Co., will feature Newman’s Own lemonade, popcorn and other special treats. For information on the festival schedule, call 508-696-4211.
The first live Island performance of Susan Klein and Alan Brigish’s online book, Martha’s Vineyard Now & Zen, will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Katharine Cornell Theatre in Vineyard Haven.
The Martha’s Vineyard Film Society hosts the performance in conjunction with the acclaimed Japanese film Still Walking. Storyteller Ms. Klein will present chapter one of Martha’s Vineyard Now & Zen, live, accompanied by a 10-minute slide show of Vineyard photographs curated by Alan Brigish.
Kate Feiffer was elected to the board of the Martha’s Vineyard Film Society at its Oct. 23 meeting.
A regular attendee at film society screenings for many years, Ms. Feiffer also assisted with the Martha’s Vineyard International Film Festival held in September.
