More than 500 miles into his solo paddleboarding expedition from South Carolina to Martha’s Vineyard, Adam Nagler is starting to feel the weight of his journey.

On Wednesday, August 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., six Camp Ground homes will be open to the public for touring.

Responding to the Island's dwindling number of veterinarians, All Pets Medical Center visited the Vineyard earlier in July and gave care to about 20 cats and dogs.

Forty artists will be represented at the Give Me Shelter art sale, which raises money for housing and shelter for low income and homeless people on the Vineyard.

About 40 people slept overnight on cots at the Martha’s Vineyard Airport this weekend after a pair of late flights were canceled. The makeshift shelter was coordinated by several Island officials.
