To live my life/ Like that of a plant/ Is to follow the laws of nature
To live my life
Like that of a plant
Is to follow the laws of nature
Not the nature of man
Whose capacity to think
Turns order into chaos
Where heart and mind divide
Disrupting the balance nature sows
Among sunlight air, water and earth
The seeds of creation and renewal
In life’s synchronized harmony
Where coexisting diversity thrives
Like the variety of flowers
Whose colors shapes and sizes
Epitomize beauty and love
As if by divine design
To which man belongs
Yet, by choice succumbs
To greed self-interest and isms
The antithesis of nature’s way
Of freedom from negativity
In minds rooted in silence
Hence, I resolve to bloom
Like flowers, not wither
Entangled in mankind’s vines
Where greed, and ego intertwine.
