Winter Storm Expected to Bring Snow to the Island

Weather watchers were keeping an eye on a winter storm moving through the mid-Atlantic Monday that was expected to bring snow to the Island. Only small accumulations were forecast, according to the National Weather Service in Taunton, with predictions for two to four inches of snow.

Martha’s Vineyard public schools released students early Monday in anticipation of the weather.

We live in new England not some southern city, it does not make sense to let the kids out early when they have all ready lost enough in school learning.
