An all-new edition of the award-winning Martha’s Vineyard Island Guide, a glossy insider’s guide to the Vineyard, is now available for purchase.

An all-new edition of the award-winning Martha’s Vineyard Island Guide, a glossy insider’s guide to the Vineyard, is now available for purchase.

Published by the Martha’s Vineyard Magazine and completely updated for the 2021 season, the 120-page Island Guide is a great primer for first-time Island guests as well as longtime visitors, offering best bets for dining, shopping and recreation.

The new edition offers special tips and notes about changes or restrictions still in place due to the pandemic. Outdoor dining and takeout options have multiplied, the farmers’ market will continue in its spacious new home on the Agricultural Society grounds in West Tisbury and, with new guidance from the state, larger gatherings will be allowed.

Now in its fourth year, the guide is filled with stunning photography, a profile of each town, useful information about hiking trails, beaches and lighthouses, an article on visiting farms and farm stands and a comprehensive listing of places to stay, eat and shop, among other features.

Designed by Jane McTeigue and edited by Susie Middleton, the Island Guide was honored this spring with a first-place award in the New England Better Newspaper Competition.

The Island Guide is available for purchase for $9.95 from the Vineyard Gazette store and at Island locations where Martha’s Vineyard Magazine is sold. Martha’s Vineyard Magazine is part of the Vineyard Gazette Media Group.

I subscribe to the Vineyard Gazette and will be making my yearly trip to the Vineyard in Sep. How can I get a copy of the new guide for this year? We love the Vineyard and would love one. Thank you!
