Susan Crampton has been recognized by the Massachusetts Hospital Association.
Susan Crampton, Martha’s Vineyard Hospital board treasurer and longtime trustee, has been recognized by the Massachusetts Hospital Association with its Trustee Excellence in Leadership Award.
The award honors significant contributions from hospital trustees to their communities.
A resident of Vineyard Haven, Ms. Crampton has served on the hospital board for more than 20 years.
Among other things, she was recognized for her commitment to senior care and leading role in the transformation and redesign of Windemere Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, the only long-term care facility on Martha’s Vineyard.
“Susan serves a crucial role on our board,” said hospital president and CEO Denise Schepici in an announcement by the MHA. “She strikes a graceful balance between ardently advocating for older patients, particularly those struggling with memory loss, and being pointed about fiscal responsibility.”
