Steamship Authority Plans Public Sessions on Terminal

The first of four community input sessions on the landside design of the Woods Hole terminal reconstruction takes place online March 23.

The Steamship Authority has scheduled the first of four community input sessions on the landside design phase of the Woods Hole terminal reconstruction project. The session will be held at 5:30 p.m. March 23, 2021 via Zoom, according to an announcement from the SSA.

The project's design team, led by BIA.studios, will be on the call to present updates, discuss design criteria and objectives, answer questions about the project design and listen to public comments. The session is being held to coincide with the completion of approximately 40 percent of the schematic design phase, according to the SSA. A second session will be held at approximately 90 percent completion.

During the subsequent design development phase, sessions will again be held at the 40 percent and 90 percent milestones, approximately in October and December of this year, respectively, according to the announcement.

BIA.studios’ presentation updating the progress of the landside design phase of the project has been posted at steamshipauthority.com/WHterminalreconstruction

I once again implore the good design team
involved in putting together the Woods Hole depot.
Please don't make it look like New York or Miami Beach !!!
Keep the New England look.
It means a lot to us.
