Long Point to Open Summer Gatehouse

The Trustees will reopen the summer gatehouse to Long Point Wildlife Refuge June 18, with reduced parking, timed ticketing and online-only sales.

The summer gatehouse at Long Point Wildlife Refuge will reopen June 18, according to an announcement from the Trustees, the statewide nonprofit that manages the property.

To maintain social distancing, parking at the refuge will be limited and admission will be by timed ticketing, with sales restricted to online only. To purchase passes, visit http://www.thetrustees.org/COVID19/, click “Parking Passes” and then choose Long Point.

Visitors to all Trustees properties, which on the Vineyard include Wasque and Mytoi on Chappaquiddick, Menemsha Hills in Chilmark and numerous other reservations, will be required to abide by social distancing rules that include face coverings for all visitors above the age of 2.
