Sail Martha's Vineyard, also known as Sail MV, aims to raise $200,000 for youth sailing programs.
Sail Martha's Vineyard, also known as Sail MV, today announced a new fundraising campaign to support its community sailing and maritime education programs.
The Support Sail MV campaign aims to raise $200,000, according to the announcement.
Last month, the nonprofit cancelled its 2021 sailing and rowing programs, as well as the annual Vineyard Cup regatta, and moved its Seafood Buffet benefit to a live, online event July 9 with interviews, entertainment and an auction.
The new fundraising campaign is essential for Sail MV to continue serving approximately 500 young Islanders and visitors each year, board member John Wilson said in a statement.
