The Film Society in Vineyard Haven is hosting its annual Manhattan Short Film Festival from Sept. 27 through Sept. 30. Each year, Vineyard movie lovers get to unite with audiences all over the world to watch simultaneously a series of short films and vote on them.

The nine finalists are from Austria, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Kosovo, New Zealand, U.S., and two films from the United Kingdom. The finalists were culled from among 1,565 submissions.

Watch them all, without ever leaving the Island, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27.
