The Island Food Pantry received a $6,000 donation from Feiner real estate. The proceeds were from the recent sale of a $2.4 million property in West Tisbury.

The donation was part of a program called Clients Choice offered by Feiner real estate that allows buyers and sellers to designate their favorite island charity to receive a donation equal to 10 per cent of the commission on every sale.

The buyers designated the Island Food Pantry as a recipient.

This is an excellent giveback to the community, by someone from the community. I wish more would follow this lead. There are over 40 million Americans living in poverty, of which 700,000 are in MA.
