Dr. and Mrs. Michael Walkenstein of Blue Bell, Pa., and Edgartown announce the engagement of their daughter Emily Walkenstein to Kyle Crossland of Oak Bluffs.
Dr. and Mrs. Michael Walkenstein of Blue Bell, Pa., and Edgartown are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Rebecca Walkenstein of Edgartown, and Kyle Blake Crossland of Oak Bluffs, son of Bernadette and Mark Crossland and the late Mary Virginia Kranz-Crossland of Oak Bluffs.
Ms. Walkenstein is a graduate of Germantown Academy, Lafayette College, and Drexel University Graduate College. She is an English language specialist at the Tisbury School. Mr. Crossland is a graduate of the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is a horticulture instructor at the Vineyard regional high school, and a landscape design and project manager for Crossland Landscape Inc.
A July 2019 wedding is planned.

Betsy McClendon Wayland MaHi Kyle, I too went to Wheelock with your mom and roomed together for three years. We had a full summer adventure in Europe between our junior and senior year. She was a dear friend , full of joy for life and always up for new events... she was so deviated when she was diagnosed that she would not be in your life , especially as you had special days..like your upcoming wedding. I know she is sending her full love to you and Emily.
