Tivoli Day Arrives in Oak Bluffs

Tivoli Day marks the beginning of a slower pace on the Vineyard, but it does it in energetic style. Circuit avenue is closed to cars, and foot traffic of all kinds takes over.

Tivoli Day had been going on for decades — not continuously, but once a year to celebrate all things fall, when the Island breathes a little easier, but still likes a good party.

The event marks the beginning of a slower pace on the Vineyard, but it does it in energetic style. Circuit avenue is closed to cars, and foot traffic of all kinds takes over. There will be music and food, arts and crafts and a lot of old fashioned hanging around.

Fesitivities run from Saturday, Sept. 19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Confused Reader On island

Sounds like fun, I'd love to go. Would it be too difficult to mention what day to show up? I understand it starts at 11am, and ends at 6pm, but is it on September 17 when the article was posted? Next week maybe? Should I just show up every day at 11am and cross my fingers?
