No Dogs. Please.

The West Tisbury farmers’ market Wednesdays and Saturdays is a wonderful event.

The West Tisbury farmers’ market Wednesdays and Saturdays is a wonderful event. It is a great place to purchase locally grown or produced products and to meet the merchants who offer their great products.

What the West Tisbury farmers’ market should not be is a freaking dog show! Please people, leave your dogs at home. They are a health hazard and should violate board of health standards.

I hope people who share my opinion will contact the organizers of the event to ban dogs from this venue.

As a personal note, I love dogs, probably more than people. But the farmers’ market is not the place for them.

Yea Michael, Absolutely, no dogs at the Farmer's Market!! Unfortunately the organizers don't want to do this because it might discourage the dog owners from coming to the market.. blah blah blah, it's so much fun watching them lift their leg and pee on everything or poop and the owners can't believe their special doggie did that... and I as well LOVE dogs , sometimes more than people.

There was a woman in Cronigs this week with her doggie in the shopping cart! Talk about unsanitary. People put their produce in those carts! It was not a guide dog or an "emotional support animal". Shame on Cronigs for allowing that!

Why cant dogs be at an open air outside event? If the owners of the dogs have them on leashes, they belong outside just like everyone else. I'm so sick of people being so harsh when it comes to dogs. No dogs at beaches, parks, etc. How about leaving your kids at home?
