Tisbury School students traveled to New Bedford recently to take part in the Southeast Chapter MathCounts competition along with more than a dozen other schools. The team made a good showing, but did not place high enough to go to the state level. However, Tisbury student Dougie Norton will go to the Massachusetts state competition on March 7. He finished fifth place overall among 100 individual competitors.
Team members included Dougie Norton, David Krauthamer, Owen Porterfield and Jason Davey (the official Tisbury team), and also Isabelle Custer, Bryce Nightlinger, Reinaldo Dos Santos, Nathaniel Packer, Sam Cranston, Julia Kane and Henry Hitchings.
