Living Beyond War
Living Beyond War by Winslow Myers will be the subject of a book discussion group taking place on Sunday, April 10 at 5 p.m. at the Unitarian Chapel, 238 Main street in Vineyard Haven. A second discussion will be held on April 17.
The discussions are in preparation for Mr. Myers’ visit to the Island on May 15.

Horseshoe Crabs Get Busy
Everything you wanted to know about horseshoe crabs but were afraid to ask, in particular their mating habits, will be revealed at the Chilmark Library on Wednesday, April 13 at 5:30 p.m.
Yoga Teacher Training
Fly Yoga School led by Sherry Sidoti is offering a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Program featuring two 10-day intensive immersion periods. The first session takes place from May 19 to 29 and the second session is from Sept. 14 to 24.
Cultural Luncheon
The Martha’s Vineyard Center for Living will hold its fourth, in a series of five, cultural luncheon on Saturday, April 9. The theme will be the Jewish community and the influence of the Jewish people and culture on the Vineyard.
The event takes place from noon to 2 p.m. at The Grill on Main street in Edgartown. Ruth Cronig Stiller and her daughter, Gayle, are the featured speakers.

Fundraising Workshop
The Martha’s Vineyard Donors Collaborative is offering a workshop to teach basic grant seeking skills. This introduction to grant writing and research is a two-part workshop to be offered on Monday, April 4 and Tuesday, April 5 at the Oak Bluffs Public Library.
