Susie Middleton, farmer, chef, food magazine editor, photographer, cookbook author and Vineyard resident, moved to the Island in 2008. Today, she is the owner of Green Island Farm in West Tisbury and just published her third book, Fresh from the Farm: A Year of Recipes and Stories.

The workshops are held Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. through March 25. The poetry workshop is planned for intermediate and advanced writers and is taught by poet Donald Nitchie. The class focuses on critique.

Shakespeare for the Masses performs Coriolanus, the only Shakespeare play ever banned by a democratic government, on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. and again on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. at the Katharine Cornell Theatre on Spring street in Vineyard Haven.

The Martha's Vineyard Yoga Center is offering a free yoga workshop on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. Focus will be on alignment (good therapy) and action of basic poses (movement with intelligence). All levels are welcome.

On Saturday, Feb. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m., join the Pathways Projects Institutes at its Chilmark Tavern location as they offer a Blast of Light Music Jam hosted by Rick Padilla. The love songs are composed, performed and improvised on the Island.
