Phil Lesh and Friends will close out Beach Road Weekend, the three-day music festival planned for August 9 to 11 in Vineyard Haven, the Martha’s Vineyard Concert Series announced.
Molly Conole’s new one-woman musical play, Seaglass, Quilts & Song: Life in Pieces, had its premiere at the Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse over the weekend, playing to packed houses Friday and Saturday nights.

Led by director Abigail Chandler, Minnesingers perform this weekend with a show titled American Mosaic; a musical journey that travels from the 1930s to present day.
The Charter School performs the Hobbit this weekend, with kindergartners though high schoolers embodying dwarves, elves, walking trees and the wizard Gandalf. Performances are at the Grange Hall on Friday and Saturday.
