The Harlem Quartet returned to Martha’s Vineyard Monday night, bringing music from three centuries and four nations to captivate its audience at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown.

For four years Barney Zeitz has been working on a series of stained glass windows for a church in Germany that was once a synagogue. In two weeks, the last windows head overseas.

The three-day festival began with laughter at the Performing Arts Center for a sold-out conversation between Seth Meyers and Chelsea Handler.

Over 60 artists hung their paintings, photographs, illustrations, collages and mixed-media along the metal fence encircling the Tabernacle for the 61st annual All-Island Art Show on Monday.

The Martha's Vineyard Book Festival opens on Friday, August 2 at the Performing Arts Center with a conversation between Chelsea Handler and Seth Meyers.
