PathwaysArts is keeping the creative lights on in Chilmark, and next week is lifting up the next generation of musicians.
In what is hailed as its “most youth-centric music event,” PathwaysFest on Dec. 27 will feature five hours of performances from Hannah Sparrow, Daj, Taxidermists, The Divergents, Rhubarb Duo, The L.A.B., The Kosh, DJ Skoot and Mr. Starz.
The show begins at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The line-up is curated by Elliot Berz of The L.A.B., (with Kosh Oliver), who both return to the Pathways stage for a finale performance as a duo before a temporary pause.
Be prepared for an evening of high energy indie rock, alternative and punk music.
Hannah Sparrow (QueenOfCups) performs original music on the omnichord, and Daj is a multi-genre singer and rapper, joined by producer Adagio.
Salvadore (Sal) McNamara and Cooper B. Handy of the Taxidermists arrives from western Massachusetts bringing with them a lo-fi groove. Their most recent album 20247 was released in March 2025 on Danger Collective Records.
Rhubarb Duo, also based in western Massachusetts, is known for its unique rhythms and emotional intensity.
The Divergents return to the Pathways stage after their debut in Chilmark last year, with Robbie Seaton on lead vocals and guitar, and Gabe Walters on background vocals and bass.
Kosh Oliver considers himself a “one-man supergroup,” and Raveyardd Elliott (Berz) creates a futuristic, borderline ambient vibe. The band members come together as The L.A.B. at the end of the evening.
DJ Skoot provides tracks throughout the set changes, and Mr. Starz spins for the after party.
PathwaysArts is located in the Chilmark Tavern at 9 State Road in Chilmark. For more information, visit pathways.org.
