There were so many holiday events on Island this past weekend! I hope you all enjoyed them. Looking forward to this weekend’s festivities. Enjoy Hanukkah, Christmas, the New Year and my personal favorite, Festivus. Festivus is traditionally celebrated on Dec. 23rd but any date in December will do. I personally can’t wait for the “airing of grievances” and the “feats of strength.”

Unfortunately, I am heartbroken. The massacre in Australia, the shootings at Brown University in Providence, the deaths of Rob and Michelle Reiner in Los Angeles. Evil does not pause for holidays.

I am looking forward to Angela Piper Murphy’s visit this weekend. She is coming to see her Island children, now grown and living here: Mercer, Hollis and Mary Afton.
