There is a pretty good chance you'll see a thin crescent moon low in the southwestern sky tomorrow night, soon after sunset. It will be low in the southwest, but you can count on it dominating our early evening skies in the week ahead.

Saturday night, the moon will be in close proximity to the zodiacal constellation Sagittarius. The moon will be inside the constellation Sunday night. You don't have much time to look. The moon will set soon as twilight ends and the sky darkens.

Sagittarius is one of the two southernmost zodiacal constellations. Once out of Sagittarius you'll see the moon gain some height in the southern sky. It will cross through the zodiacal constellations Capricornus and then Aquarius.

First quarter moon is the Friday after Thanksgiving. You'll see the moon approaching the bright planet Saturn.
