Land Bank Revenues as of Nov. 7

The Martha’s Vineyard Land Bank reported revenues of $294,500.02 for the business week ending on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025. The land bank receives its funds from a two per cent fee charged on many Vineyard real estate transactions.

Much of the land bank revenue last week came from the town of Oak Bluffs, where six transactions resulted in $175,100. Three transactions earned $71,900 in Edgartown. One transaction resulted in $35,500 in Chilmark. And one transaction generated $12,000.02 in Tisbury.  No eligible transactions were recorded in Aquinnah.

The land bank uses its revenues to purchase and manage land for purposes of conservation, preservation and passive recreation. To date the agency has participated in the purchase of more than 4,206 acres of Vineyard land.
