Steamship board of governor James Malkin and port council members John Cahill and Joe Sollitto will attend the Nov. 6 meeting at the Tisbury emergency services building.

Vineyard Steamship Authority officials will be on hand for an information session about the ferry line’s future this week. 

Steamship board of governor James Malkin and port council members John Cahill and Joe Sollitto will attend the Nov. 6 meeting at the Tisbury emergency services building. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

The ferry line is in a time of transition and is expected to usher in a new general manager, reservation system and ticket prices. 

“We invite islanders interested in exchanging information about the SSA to attend,” Mr. Malkin wrote in an email to the Gazette.

Parking is at the lower level behind the facility.
