There will be a Walk for Children fundraiser for Palestinian families in Gaza held on Saturday, Sept. 27, beginning at 2 p.m. The walk will begin at Owen Park, head downtown and then end back at Owen Park. A song and a brief welcome will kick off the event and there will be music along the way.

Organizers stress the event is a solidarity walk, not a protest. Participants are asked to donate a minimum of $30 to the Middle East Children’s Alliance. Visit mecaforpeace.org.
