Please Adopt Us: Week Ending Sept. 12

We have another adoption to report. Turnip, the tuxedo kitten, has found her forever home. And Tink, the young black cat, has gone home as well. It’s been a good week.

The next nail clinic will be held this Saturday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. until noon. Dogs must be leashed and cats, rabbits and Guinea pigs must be in carriers — walk-ins only, $20 fee.

With the temperatures cooling the ticks are coming back to life, so make sure to keep up to date with flea and tick treatments for your best friends.

The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours: 508-627-8662.

Hours are: Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 to 5 p.m.
