Please Adopt Us: Week Ending August 29
We have no adoptions to report, but our pet of the week is Martin, a fifteen-year-old tabby gentleman whose age you would never guess.
We have no adoptions to report, but our pet of the week is Martin, a fifteen-year-old tabby gentleman whose age you would never guess. He’s a playful, affectionate, really nice boy. Martin spent his life as an only pet and we feel he would be happiest in the same situation. He does have a thyroid issue and needs to be on medication so if you have it in your heart to adopt this wonderful cat his adoption fee will be waived.
The next nail clinic will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. until noon. Dogs must be leashed and cats, rabbits and Guinea pigs must be in carriers — Walk-ins only, $20 fee.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours: 508-627-8662.
Hours are: Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 to 5 p.m.
