I was discombobulated by the changes to our end of summer Island schedule last week due to effects of Hurricane Erin. Thankfully, everything turned out okay, even if on different nights.
I was discombobulated by the changes to our end of summer Island schedule last week due to effects of Hurricane Erin. Thankfully, everything turned out okay, even if on different nights.
And now here comes to Labor Day. It has been wonderful to see all our summer friends and visitors.
The always thoughtful Martha’s Vineyard Museum is planning an own end of summer blowout. On Sunday, Sept. 7, there will be a late summer picnic on the hill from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Jeremy Berlin Trio will play jazz.
My traveling friend who spends summers here left for this season. He left in time to drive out to the Burning Man festival which he sees every year. His faithful companion Chiclet is with him.
With great sadness I read that Dr. Patrick William O’Daly, a wonderful man who lived in Edgartown for many years, has died. My condolences to his wife Carolyn, his family and his many, many friends.
The birthday bandwagon pulled along Sharry Grunden Stephens and Julie McNary on August 21; Regina Grazianl claimed August 24; and Sherm Goldstein took the cake on August 25. Many happy returns.
