We have two more adoptions to report this week. Black kitten, Bonsai, has found his forever home where he will be able to run free and explore the great outdoors, and black kitten, Pip, came and went in a matter of days.
We have two more adoptions to report this week. Black kitten, Bonsai, has found his forever home where he will be able to run free and explore the great outdoors, and black kitten, Pip, came and went in a matter of days. Congratulations to all.
Our pet of the week is Martin, a 15-year-old tabby gentleman whose age you would never guess. He’s still playful and a really nice boy. He can be shy if he doesn’t know you but once he does, he’s an affectionate boy. He does have a thyroid issue and needs to be on medication, so if you have it in your heart to adopt this wonderful cat his adoption fee will be waived.
Also, when you and your dogs are enjoying the Dog Bar on North Water street in Edgartown you can also make a donation to the Shelter.
We are also looking for jewelry donations for our next annual Garden Party. We will accept any type of jewelry in any condition. Donations should be dropped off at the Shelter during business hours.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours: 508-627-8662.
Hours are: Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 to 5 p.m.
