A new film by Jay Craven entitled Lost Nation will screen at the Martha’s Vineyard Film Center on Wednesday, August 6.

The film is a Revolutionary War-era action drama set in the early upstart Republic of Vermont. The film was shot mostly on Nantucket, with some additional filming in Vermont and the western Massachusetts towns of Colrain and Leyden. It stars Irish actor Kevin Ryan as Ethan Allen, and Kenyan actress Eva Ndachi as the pioneering Black poet, Lucy Terry Prince.

Mr. Craven will attend the 7:30 p.m. screening for a discussion with the audience.
