Most of the Fourth of July parade was beautiful and fun as always. The exception was watching a group of people walk in the parade holding signs with the latest political slogan. Politics is divisive and alienating to those that don’t agree no matter the issue or who is in office. The purpose of the parade is to bring us all together to celebrate our nation.

For all our sakes, let’s enjoy a parade that does just that. We already have too many other places in our lives where politics keeps us apart.
