The Oak Bluffs planning board opened a hearing last week on the project to build a new track and field complex at the regional high school.

The hearing is set to continue on Feb. 24, with a formal presentation from high school officials.

The project was approvaed by the Martha’s Vineyard Commission in August, and now needs a special permit from the planning board.

The online meeting begins at 5 p.m.
