This is in regard to Michael Ball’s recent letter excoriating the ferry service. Like virtually all Woods Hole residents and, really, any fair-minded person, I am appalled by the dishonesty and callousness of the management of the Steamship Authority. However, in the 60 years that I have traveled on the ferries, I can’t remember a single time that a member of the boat crew was unpleasant or unhelpful. It is true, though, that they don’t wear white gloves.
