Electronics Disposal Day Moves to High School

The spring electronics disposal benefit, taking place Saturday, has a new location — the high school parking lot.

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, in partnership with the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, will hold its Spring Electronics Disposal Day May 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the high school parking lot. Supported by Bruno’s Rolloff Inc., the bi-annual fundraiser benefits both MVCS and the student government at the high school.

Fees for electronics range between $5 and $40 per item and payments can be accepted via check or credit card. Items accepted include, but are not limited to: air conditioners, cell phones, computers, copiers, dehumidifiers, fax machines, microwaves, monitors, laptops, printers, refrigerators, scanners, stereo equipment, televisions, washers and dryers.

Those participating are encouraged to sign up for a drop-off time in advance to help expedite the process. Masks are required.
