On Saturday, Dec. 19, six cars pulled up to my house and parked. Out came all these lovely ladies who call themselves The Good Soles. I remember reading a recent story about how they walk together for comfort and solidarity. Wearing red Santa Claus hats, they began to sing Christmas carols while I safely observed behind my storm door. It was wonderful! I smiled, sang along, and yes, I even cried — tears of joy and happiness. They then gifted me with a Christmas shopping bag filled with all kind of goodies donated by Island businesses, even more good souls. I understand that I was just one of many stops they made to seniors that day.
Thank you, thank you to all who contributed to this occasion. I shall cherish the memory. Stay safe.

It's so important to reach
Kendall Reid Oak BluffsIt's so important to reach out to our friends, especially during these crazy days of Covid. We are all on "lockdown" so seeing people makes it hard. We wanted to bring a little holiday joy and although none of us can carry a tune, we had a blast and are happy we made you smile.
