Covid Monologues Deadline Looms

Friday is the deadline to submit an original monologue of up to 5 minutes for a public reading Dec. 12 at the Martha's Vineyard Museum.

The Covid Monologues, a community arts project which made its debut last month at the Martha's Vineyard Museum, is returning to the museum grounds for another reading Dec. 12 at 12:30 p.m.

Islanders who wish to take part may submit a written monologue of up to five minutes in length to [email protected]. Monologues must be titled and accompanied by a two-sentence biography of the writer.

The submission deadline for the Dec. 12 reading is Dec. 4. Writing prompts are posted at moiraconveysilva.com/the-covid-monologues-mv.

After the upcoming museum event, subsequent Covid Monologues readings will take place on Zoom at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 9 and Feb. 13, according to an announcement from the organizers.
