Tomorrow morning, any time before sunrise, you will see two celestial objects Venus and the Crescent Moon close together.

The two rise in the eastern sky around 3 a.m. and will be poised nicely high above the eastern sky by dawn. The two are in the zodiacal constellation Gemini, a constellation we most often associate with the depths of a cold winter night.

The moon appears above Venus. If you miss the opportunity take another look Sunday morning at the same time. The moon will have advanced farther eastward, farther away from Venus, closer to the yet to rise sun.

Fewer will see the moon on Monday morning, as it is almost on the horizon when dawn arises.

The moon reappears in our evening sky next Thursday night. The moon is a thin crescent shape and close to the western sky after sunset.
