The new case is a male in his 50s, according to the daily report from Maura Valley, the designated spokesman for the six boards of health.
Statewide, confirmed case counts stayed stubbornly high Saturday, with all eyes on Gov. Charlie Baker for Monday when he is expected to release details for reopening commonwealth in four gradual stages. A statewide stay-at-home advisory has been in effect since March and expires Monday. Governor Baker extended the advisory for another 24 hours Friday.
On Saturday the state Department of Public Health reported 1,512 new cases of Covid-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 84,933. There were 113 new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 5,705.
The total case count on the Vineyard now stands at 31, including the four antibody tests. The cases include 15 females and 12 males.

As of Saturday morning the hospital had done 650 laboratory tests, with 25 positives, 625 negatives and zero pending. No one is currently hospitalized with the virus. (The two other positives are from individuals who were tested off-Island).
Meanwhile, Islanders welcomed a blast of warming weather Saturday, with the gusty winds of recent weeks finally easing up. Hayfields up-Island are thick and green, and the wild dogwood dotting North Road and State Road in West Tisbury has burst into bloom. Indigo buntings are ubiquitous.
It was national health care week, and the hospital and Windemere nursing facility were festooned with colorful signs of thanks for employees.
At a press briefing early in the week, hospital president and chief executive officer Denise Schepici had warm words for all the staff.
“They are all precious to me, and I hope they are to our entire community,” she said.

Additionally, My hope is for the MV vacation rental companies to do the right thing and refund money to those of us that planned to vacation at Martha's Vineyard this summer but unfortunately can not due to this global pandemic.
