Ava Stearns of Chilmark has been named to the National Collegiate Equestrian Association’s list of all-American players.

The 2019 Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School graduate earned First Team in the Flat and Second Team in Fences her freshman year at Auburn University in Alabama, where she attends as a Division 1 Equestrian in a starting position with the team. The Auburn Equestrian team had a 13-0 season and were top seed for the South Eastern Conference and NCAA Championships, but both events were cancelled this year due to Covid-19 concerns.
