Town Clerks Hold Extended Hours for Voter Registration

<p>Today is the last day to register to vote for the Massachusetts primary, and Island town clerks will hold extended office hours.

Wednesday is the last day to register to vote for the Massachusetts primary, and Island town clerks will hold extended office hours. Times and places for Wednesday hours follow:

Edgartown town hall: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Oak Bluffs town hall: 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Vineyard Haven town hall : 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

West Tisbury town hall: 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Chilmark town hall: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 7 to 8 p.m.

Aquinnah old town hall: Noon to 4 p.m., 7 to 8 p.m.

Residents can also register to vote online (https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleidx.htm); or at the Registry of Motor Vehicles, which is open tomorrow from 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

New voters are required to provide a form of identification that lists a street address, such as a driver’s license, motor vehicle registration or electric bill.
