Dukes County Commissioner Keith Chatinover will hold a series of town hall-style meetings next month. The meetings will be held meeting in each of the Island’s six towns, as well as one on Gosnold.

The goal of the meetings is for Islanders to get to know their county government, Mr. Chatinover said. Open discussion is encouraged.

Dates, times and locations for the Island meetings follow:

Chilmark, Dec. 16, 5 to 6 p.m., Chilmark Library.

Oak Bluffs, Dec. 17, 5 to 6 p.m., Oak Bluffs Library.

Edgartown, Dec. 17, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Edgartown Library.

Aquinnah, Dec. 16 , 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., old town hall.

West Tisbury, Dec. 19, 5 to 6 p.m., West Tisbury Library.

Tisbury, Dec. 19, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Vineyard Haven Library.
