The Oak Bluffs police department has a new sign that was made possible by a generous donation from seasonal resident Charles Santoro, the department announced this week.

With the gift, the department enlisted Oak Bluffs woodcarver and sign maker J.P. Uranker to design and create the sign. Granite posts and installation were donated by Garrett Conover and Conover Restorations Inc. Prep work and future plantings and landscaping around the sign will be done by Crossland Landscaping.

Lighting will be installed by Powers Electric.
