The Martha’s Vineyard Youth Task Force and Connect to End Violence will host an upcoming talk about the effects of drug use on the adolescent brain.

Addiction expert Dr. Ruth Potee of Greenfield will address three factors that heighten risk for addiction: genetics, early exposure during brain development, and childhood trauma. The talk will take place at the regional high school library May 16 from 6 to 8 p.m.
